AWESOME news!!! When my fuzzy son was in ICU last summer recovering from his gastric surgery, he had to be on TPN for like a week and a half (ARGH!!!) because he would. not. eat. I tried evvvvvvverything. I cooked every possible tempting dish I could possibly think of, and he wouldn't even TASTE them. Low-fat turkey meatballs, oatmeal with ground beef, peanut butter sandwiches, cheerios, rice with cream of chicken soup mixed in, yogurt, cottage cheese -- seriously, everything I could think of. You know what he FINALLY ate? The KIBBLE that the ICU nurses offered him!

So then he got to come off the TPN, but when he came home he was still eating at most about 1/4 cup of food a day (he weighs 50 lbs), split into 4-6 feedings. I thought he was going to have to go back and have a feeding tube inserted. I would cry, trying to get him to eat, because he would only take 6 kibbles, or 4 cheerios -- totally ridiculous amounts of food. And then, one day, all of a sudden, he gobbled down a half cup of food all at once. And that was the turning point. :) :) :) :) :)

I'm so glad Storm's eating!
